MCG designs, builds, and services critical power systems for industries that need reliable electricity. It combines several specialized companies—MCFI (systems integration for power solutions, modular data centers, and microgrids), Johnson Thermal Systems (generator enclosures and modular power), Point Eight Power (switchgear and power control buildings), and DVM Power + Control (low- and medium-voltage equipment)—to offer end-to-end capabilities. Its products include switchgear, switchboards, modular data centers, microgrids, generator enclosures, and turnkey power systems, targeting data centers, healthcare, telecom, manufacturing, and energy sectors. By expanding its manufacturing footprint through acquisitions, MCG aims to provide integrated engineering, manufacturing, installation, and after-market services at scale to meet a strained grid and ensure uninterrupted operations.

Mission Critical Group acquires Anchor Automation to expand connected services.

Mission Critical Group acquires Anchor Automation to expand connected services. Mission Critical Group has acquired Anchor Automation, adding industrial automation and controls integration expertise to strengthen its connected services and field support for data centres and other mission-critical facilities. Mission Critical Group ("MCG"), a provider of electrical infrastructure solutions for mission critical facilities, including data centres, manufacturing plants, and energy infrastructure, has announced its acquisition of Anchor Automation, a provider of industrial automation, controls integration, and connected services. Headquartered in Florence, South Carolina, with field teams serving customers nationwide, Anchor Automation expands MCG's connected services capabilities and complements its existing field services organisation. According to the companies, MCG and Anchor Automation will provide customers with a single partner for engineering, manufacturing, commissioning, field services, automation, remote monitoring, and lifecycle support for electrical infrastructure. "Transformers are a natural extension of our integrated power solutions platform, and CORE is the ideal partner to bring that capability to MCG," said Jeff Drees, CEO of Mission Critical Group. "CORE's deep technical expertise, strong manufacturing relationships, and proven speed of delivery will enable us to offer customers a more complete solution and an accelerated path to power." "CORE will continue to deliver the same level of service and responsiveness to its reseller and distribution customer base. This includes maintaining an inventory of more than 1,000 transformers available for immediate deployment and drawing on more than 5.5 million square feet of global production capacity to deliver custom transformer solutions in as little as 16 weeks," said Randall Maddox, co-founder of CORE Transformers. "The combination with MCG adds a new channel for CORE while reinforcing its commitment to the customers and partners who have driven its growth."
