Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine degree and registration with the medical council are required.
  • At least five years of professional experience are required, preferably in a geriatric setting.
  • The candidate should have managerial qualities and a strong sense of responsibility.
Responsibilities
  • Provide medical opinions on admissions, participate in resident assessments using GMP and PATHOS, and help implement the facility's care plan.
  • Coordinate healthcare professionals and ensure the quality and continuity of care in collaboration with the nursing coordinator.
  • Lead the geriatric coordination committee and promote coordination with attending physicians and external partners.
  • Support appropriate medication use and secure the medication circuit in collaboration with the pharmacy, OMEDIT, and INTERDIAG.
  • Participate in quality initiatives, risk management, and the development of professional best practices.
  • Contribute to the training and support of nursing and care teams.
  • Participate in institutional activities as a member of the management committee, and develop partnerships and the geriatric care pathway.
  • Prepare the annual medical activity report (RAMA).
