Requirements
  • Previous experience working in Missile Defense Agency C2BMC Program
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. (with SCI eligibility)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications on Linux
  • Experience with Java foundation classes and toolkits
  • Small team leadership experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers
  • Knowledge of server side/database development, computer system administration; Net-centric, horizontal integration program expertise
  • Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance and operational issues, identify root cause, recommend, design and implement a solution.
  • Use of common software development and management tools such as maven, git/GitHub, Nexus and Eclipse
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS) including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks
  • Prior integration and test experience within the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program
Responsibilities
  • The Software Engineer will have experience and knowledge of software development in the Java language for one of the Regional Applications teams in Colorado Springs and other locations in Huntsville, AL (Enterprise Services, Planner, Modeling & Simulation, User Interface).
