What you’ll do
The Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering organisation is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds - from Financial Consulting to Product Management, Customer Support to Software Engineering, and we are serious about building a diverse, experienced and curious team.
As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare. To aid your customers, you will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Customer Support. Your goal of customer success should drive you through the entire organisation as you seek out and create scalable solutions for your customer’s needs.
This role is initially focused on Cloudflare Zero Trust Security portfolio working alongside the Account Solutions Engineers and Sales Specialists. You will be expected to specialise in Zero Trust technology framework and underlying products in a short amount of time and provide expertise to account teams in helping to close Cloudflare One suite sales. Technology focus and scope of the role may evolve into broader product set coverage as per business needs and candidates might be expected to take account or regional level responsibilities.
All the resources and training required to be effective for the role, will be provided.

The Solutions Engineer is a senior, customer-focused Technical Sales professional who provides pre-sales support and guidance to customers, and collaborates with Regional Account Managers and Partners to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings.
In this role you will be expected to provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, integration, and maintenance of Area 1 solutions. You will assist the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.
This role requires a customer-centric approach and an in-depth understanding of security technologies with an understanding of Email Security.
