Requirements
  • BS or MS in engineering and/or evidence of exceptional experience
  • 5 - 10 years experience in support of an assembly or in a manufacturing environment
  • 2 - 5 years experience in managing a motivated team
  • High level of leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong background in collaboration across multiple disciplines including engineering, operations, development, logistics, and sales
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions including technical drawings and process documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent follow-up skills
  • Great record keeping, metrics, and data entry skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with web-based tools
Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of skilled technicians and other team members to produce finished printers
  • Managing the assembly of printers for shipment by coordinating across multiple teams
  • Training team members in proper assembly techniques and safety procedures
  • Reviewing of working instructions, schematics, and other specifications to ensure that all goods are accounted for and ordered correctly
  • Communicating regularly across multiple teams to ensure that all deadlines have been met and to have the materials needed to complete projects on time
  • Ensure all parts and assemblies adhere to specified quality standards
  • Evaluating the quality of work performed by team members to ensure that it meets company standards
  • Ensuring employees adhere to all safety regulations
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance the capability of all team members with a focus on manufacturability, while improving quality and reducing time and costs
  • Perform other related duties, as necessary
