Requirements
  • Ability to function at a computer workstation.
  • Ability to have finger dexterity, (writing, operating a keyboard, and a push-button phone)
  • Ability to speak English and produce a clear, pleasant telephone voice
  • Ability to understand voice communication while talking on the phone and to hear technical sounds
  • Able to visualize a computer monitor and adjust vision when doing close work
  • Able to read written communication
  • Able to perform necessary duties and maintain safety within the unit
Responsibilities
  • Supervision of the Medical Center Switchboard operations.
  • Demonstrating the highest degree of customer service.
  • Accountability and responsibility for the communication of accurate information to callers, physicians, and medical center staff.
  • Assisting with call processing and having a working knowledge of telecommunication functions.
Desired Qualifications
  • 6 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree with supervisory/management experience, experience in healthcare setting with multi-line preferred.
