Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
  • Some experience with 3D modeling in Creo or SolidWorks.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, stand, use manual dexterity, stoop, bend, and perform minimal lifting.
Responsibilities
  • Organize and update drawings, specifications, and agency standards.
  • Redesign components for cost reduction and improved assembly efficiency.
  • Adapt concepts into new-size machines, support laboratory builds of full-size prototypes, and help introduce new designs to manufacturing.
  • Create detailed 3D models, collaborate with CAD designers, and assist with introducing new product designs across large products.
  • Learn and use the change notification system and Bill of Materials.
  • Assist with part design, concept development, and market launch within the product development system.
  • Participate in field testing and external laboratory evaluations.
  • Procure new parts, test-fit manufactured parts in the laboratory, troubleshoot design issues, and anticipate assembly concerns for redesigns before release.
