Requirements
- Strong experience designing components using stamping, molding, and machining manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with Creo and SolidWorks computer-aided design software, including 3D modeling, sheet metal, 2D drawings, and assemblies.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturability considerations for plastic and sheet metal.
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience creating design failure mode and effects analyses and identifying relevant product risks.
- Ability to identify suitable materials and apply design for manufacturing and design for assembly concepts.
- Familiarity with current engineering design methods, tools, and processes.
- Experience with standard new product introduction and new product development processes.
- Understanding of compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Windchill product data management and product lifecycle management for managing component lifecycles.
- Ability to present and articulate ideas to key stakeholders and leadership.
- Quality-focused approach to design and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and handle a technical team while working independently.
- Create three-dimensional models, sheet-metal designs, two-dimensional drawings, and assemblies.
- Create design failure mode and effects analyses and identify relevant product risks.
- Manage the lifecycle of components in Windchill product data management and product lifecycle management systems.
- Present and articulate technical ideas to key stakeholders and leadership.
- Produce quality-focused designs and documentation.
