  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent major.
  • 8+ years of working experience developing and maintaining production (high availability) data pipelines or data platforms.
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with relational databases at scale.
  • Experience with AWS or other major cloud services.
  • Proficient with TypeScript or other popular programming languages.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Responsibilities
  • Lead hands-on the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly scalable, high-quality backend APIs, services, and the most complex features of the data platform.
  • Have a sound understanding of the entire SW stack to represent and help craft a strategic vision of the data platform.
  • Work with product managers, software engineers, and product designers to define the product requirements, scope, and business impact.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to deliver high-quality, complex backend features on the roadmap.
  • Identify and troubleshoot significant errors and performance issues that occur within our environment.
  • Mentor other engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
  • Can be involved in customer discussions.
