Requirements
  • Hold a relevant Master's degree in Physiology, Biomedical Science, Neuroscience, Cardiovascular Science, Immunology or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrate substantial experience with in vivo rodent experimentation and physiological phenotyping, ideally including cardiovascular or metabolic assessments.
  • Have hands-on expertise in flow cytometry, including immune cell isolation, panel execution, and data analysis.
  • Apply robust statistical analysis to complex biological datasets using R, GraphPad Prism or Python.
  • Use strong organisational skills to coordinate longitudinal studies across multiple facilities and manage competing experimental priorities.
  • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and support junior researchers learning specialised physiological and immune techniques.
  • Have current valid work rights for Australia.
  • Obtain a Working with Children Check.
Responsibilities
  • Lead longitudinal cardiovascular, metabolic and functional phenotyping in ageing mouse models using specialised physiological assessment platforms.
  • Conduct in vivo rodent studies, including monitoring, sample collection and scheduling, while ensuring strict compliance with animal ethics requirements.
  • Perform immune cell isolation and multiparameter flow cytometry, then integrate immune and physiological datasets with collaborators.
  • Analyse complex longitudinal datasets using appropriate statistical approaches and prepare high-quality figures, reports, manuscripts and project documentation.
  • Support laboratory operations, including reagent ordering, equipment maintenance and record-keeping.
  • Contribute to meetings, seminars and retreats.
