Requirements
- Experience in a broadcast environment
- Knowledge of the various regulatory bodies and their responsibilities and remits
- An understanding of the commercial world of broadcast sports sponsorship and advertising
- An understanding of world sport, with awareness of potential issues around combat sports
- Calm under pressure and able to assess and explain issues quickly and clearly
- Able to think about our content with an editorial eye
- A Good understanding of current, digital, professional editing/broadcasting technology, rights management systems and WhatsOn
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of the global regulatory processes
- Be comfortable with all aspects of broadcast regulations to make informed decisions
- Build relationships for compliance issues, working with our multiple internal teams from broadcasting to legal, together with the Compliance Manager, you will be a point of contact for all stakeholders concerning issues such as sponsorship, advertising, product placement, watershed issues, potentially harmful content, and protection of young people
- You will be expected to understand the regulatory issues in each territory we operate in and be able to advise on how we remain within guidelines. Ideally you will have experience of regulatory issues across different territories
- You will be a process driver and clear thinker who can get to the detail of an issue quickly and give informed and rational advice
- You will be viewing & complying of 3rd party acquisition and in house produced and commissioned content as well as re-versions, cutdowns and fillers ensuring these are compliant for transmission
- You will get to interact with senior leaders. It is essential that you are comfortable and able to communicate to all levels of the business
