ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Product/Visual Designer at Harness, you will:
- Collaborate closely with a small, remote global team of visual designers, design engineers, and product designers, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the table.
- Use a data-driven approach to guide design initiatives, ensuring that design improvements are quantifiable and impactful, while encouraging open discussions and creative brainstorming.
- Conduct user research to gain insights that inform your design process, allowing you to iterate continually and enhance the user experience while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering, to translate design ideas into high-fidelity prototypes and specifications, fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in AI and accessibility to inform product design decisions and improvements, inspiring the team to embrace new methodologies and technologies.
- Measure the impact of design post-launch and iterate based on user feedback and engagement, promoting a mindset of continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years of experience in product design, ideally with familiarity in enterprise and/or cloud products (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience working in a startup environment, allowing for quick adaptation and effective contribution in a dynamic setting.
- Strong understanding of how AI can influence product design and user experience, enabling the creation of innovative solutions that transform existing workflows.
- Relentless passion for providing the best possible experience, consistently iterating to improve it, and a desire to inspire the team to think differently.
- Familiarity with design systems and experience in implementing them effectively.
- Familiarity with coding (e.g., React, Git, Tailwind CSS) is a plus, with a primary focus on product design.
- Understanding of the importance of accessibility in design and commitment to creating inclusive experiences for all users.
- Ability to showcase how past work reflects thought processes and design execution through a portfolio or case studies.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
