ABOUT THE JOB
Contribute to the development of a quality product while learning many facets of the product development process including manufacturing and engineering processes. You will work with Production and several engineering functions as well as other cross functional departments through management of the RPT (Request for Plant Trial) process. Gain technical knowledge, skills, and experience with the Production Validation & APQP process while working with the Strategic Engineering Staff to support Continuous Improvement and New Product Development initiatives.
YOUR ROLE:
- Management of the RPT process
- Coordinate trials with operations and support teams such as production, scheduling, quality and product / process engineering
- Manage RPT process from start to finish including:
- Lead weekly team meetings for the facilitation of the process
- Initial request development, approval and scheduling
- Design/Production Validation Plan (DVP/PVP) development
- Procurement & coordination of materials
- Report out of results through the development of technical reports
- Financial tracking & budget management
- Management of RPT Inventory
- RPT Process Continuous Improvements
- Minimize risks and support Design for manufacturing and assembly through detailed design reviews and trial development & execution
- Assistance with development and general launch support of continuous improvement and NPD programs
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent; manufacturing experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Manage ambiguity while working through stressful situations
- Interpersonal skills as well as a positive attitude and a willingness to work with others
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of TT products as well as the fiberglass door lines and molding operations
- Strong MS Excel knowledge & E-21 Experience or the willingness to be trained
- Fork truck certification or the ability to obtain one
- Engineering Associate Degree (or in process)
- Ability to lead small projects and problem solve

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate works around mechanical hazards, noise and or vibration daily. Extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity and being outdoors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Ability to run respective inventory system (Great Plains, E21, MES etc.).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to complete daily Pre-Use Inspection Sheets.
