Requirements
  • 4-year degree is required preferably in engineering, business management or finance
  • 3 + years of related experience in managing strategic business relationships, category leadership, purchasing, and/or project
  • Knowledge and experience of procurement and sourcing strategies, supplier integration, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience in large scale, global procurement required
  • Strategic Sourcing Experience in the consumer electronics industry preferred, experience managing contract manufacturers & original design manufacturers
Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing to include managing contract manufacturers & original design manufacturers
  • Effectively lead and communicate at all levels within the company and with stakeholders from marketing, engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership
  • Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy
  • Ensure that product costing and sourcing decisions are based upon the total cost of sourced items (Total Cost of Ownership - TCO) for example: currency exchange, freight, non-value-added activities, and consideration for localized or imported sourcing.
  • Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier contracts and service level agreements as well as supplier relationships on behalf of the company with Year-Over-Year productivity expectations
  • Use sourcing tools within spend analytics, contract management, productivity tracking, linear performance price analysis, etc. to help drive category performance
  • Support inventory programs, offer quick lead times, competitive cost, collaboration on innovation, and conformity to our payment terms.
  • Identify and communicate risks and coordinate its mitigation plans
  • Work with engineering, marketing, suppliers and others to identify and drive productivity opportunities.
