QA/QC Supervisor

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, implement and deploy the E2 Optics QMS in accordance to the program structure across the site and assist other program sites to implement as requested.
• Develop and execute QA/QC tactical implementation plan to encourage behaviors that supports/develops a quality awareness culture.
• Confirm the quality related site activities are in accordance to industry codes and client’s standards.
• Train and coach QA/QC Coordinators and internal employees to integrate quality initiatives into the daily workstream.
• Collaborate with the program representatives to coordinate and integrate applicable quality specifications and expectations into both the E2 QMS and client’s quality program.
• Technical writing - Ability to develop QA/QC installation and technical reference, procedure, inspection, and report documents as required to support E2 Optics QMS and client’s quality program.
• Ability to develop and implement QA/QC structure and tools to promote a quality awareness culture. Partner with field staff for successful implementation and execution.
• Generate and analyze quality data analytics for incorporation into metrics to accurately quantify and manage quality performance.
• Coordinate and conduct timely quality inspections prioritized according to production status and risk management as represented in the project schedule.
• Ensure Quality Assurance standards are developed and disseminated to relevant stakeholders.
• Issue, record, monitor and partner with staff to close nonconformance reports. Trend data to identify recurring issues.
• Conduct corrective action(s) verification audits for non-conforming observations.
• Drive structured problem solving to develop and anchor preventive action(s) to proactively support First Time Right quality strategy.
• Conduct relevant quality training to QA/QC Coordinators and field staff by performing ongoing coaching to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Complete and coordinate the approval of the site’s QC technical submittals to the customer.
• Share better practices and learnings with other program sites for implementation.
• Represent E2 Optics and participate in the QA/QC program meetings with the projects subcontractor’s QC personnel.
• Materials – Coordinate with client design teams and project managers to consult on materials for CFCI and OFCI material questions and constraints.
• Design Documentation - Verify site as-built design documentation quality attributes are complete and up to date.
• Prioritized Response – Ensure rapid responses to high priority builds, nonconformances and break-fixes.
• Strategic Planning – Participate in project pipeline planning and discussions related to the data center.
• Technical – Serve as technical resource for E2 Optics structured cabling standards, product selection, design, and installation methods in the field.
• Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.

Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Construction Management, Project Coordination or similar; experience may substitute.
• BICSI certifications (TE350 Technician, RTPM).
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and relevant software platforms.

Experience:

• 2 to 4 year’s field experience new build installations and testing fiber.
• Data Center structure cabling experience.
