Kent is looking for a Global Engineering Manager to be based in Dubai
Global Engineering Manager will support Kent global engineering centers to ensure governance for engineering activities, driving consistency in ‘the Kent Way’ of the execution of engineering projects. This hands-on role will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of engineering standards, procedures, and methodologies that align with the company’s vision and growth ambitions.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of a global engineering network for all engineering disciplines, promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement, while fostering effective communication within the engineering function.
- Working with the PMO to develop and implement a global engineering governance structure, standardize engineering approach, systems and tools uniting all engineering centers to deliver projects the ‘Kent Way’.
- Assist in establishing and applying Technical Assurance framework for global engineering projects as part of the existing Kent Project Delivery Assurance program.
- Contribute to the development, upkeep, and application of standards, procedures, workflows, and templates under the Kent Integrated Management System and Technical Library.
- Actively engage with project teams to roll out engineering initiatives, ensure alignment with engineering standards and company objectives.
- Work closely with the Centre of Excellence drive innovation and keep up to date of technological advancements in the engineering domain to ensure the company remains efficient and competitive.
- Assist in the implementation and adoption of AI and digital initiatives to improve engineering processes.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering teams, promoting career growth for new talent.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Master’s or higher preferred.
- Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is a desirable qualification
Communication:
- Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
Behavior/ Core Competencies:
- Minimum of 12 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years working in Engineering Management or as a Lead Engineer on large projects or in roles involving team management.
Skills and Experience
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale engineering projects.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to inspire and drive teams towards success.
- Experience in establishing and leading virtual engineering communities or teams.
- Proficient in various engineering tools, software, and project management methodologies.
- Solid understanding of global markets and engineering challenges in various regions.
