  • A master's degree in an academic area, education, or a closely related field is required; candidates without a master's degree must obtain one within two years of hire.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for curriculum development, academic policies, faculty development, and academic integrity.
  • Ensure academic programs meet accreditation, state, and federal requirements.
  • Promote excellence in teaching, research, and student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with leadership and program directors to implement new curriculum and update existing curriculum based on program objectives, industry trends, and student needs.
  • Implement faculty and staff training programs and professional development workshops.
  • Oversee student advising, retention, and academic support services.
  • Address academic concerns, grievances, and appeals.
  • Support initiatives that enhance student engagement, career readiness, and experiential learning.
  • Develop and maintain learning resources that comply with regulatory standards and meet student needs.
  • Implement mechanisms to meet and exceed academic outcomes for students and the campus.
  • Lead campus student retention efforts and support program directors and faculty with retention activities, strategy, and initiatives.
  • Contribute to institutional strategic planning and accreditation efforts.
  • Manage budgetary and financial planning for the academic division.
  • Foster relationships with external partners, including businesses, advisory boards, community organizations, and accrediting bodies.
  • Lead program assessment and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain academic records and oversee institutional reporting requirements.
  • Establish and maintain a high-performance team of professional staff through training, performance management, and career-development activities, while leading them to achieve business results and performance metrics.
  • Recognize and reward employee contributions and achievements.
Desired Qualifications
  • A doctorate degree in an academic area, education, or a closely related field.
  • Eight years of leadership experience in education and four years of teaching or administrative experience within a post-secondary environment.
  • Prior experience as an Academic Dean.
