Requirements
  • At least 8 years of progressive geospatial experience with technical proficiency across data automation, governance, and project management.
  • Strong expertise in data automation workflows, scripting languages, and tools such as FME, Power Automate, Python, and ArcGIS Arcade, including ETL processes and data validation pipelines.
  • Technical proficiency with Esri desktop and web products including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Server, including Portal content and user administration, plus Safe Software FME products such as FME Form and FME Flow.
  • Experience with utilities GIS, including underground or above-ground utility data and infrastructure.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Attribute Rules, Data Reviewer workflows, and FME workbenches for quality assurance and quality control.
  • Experience authoring project scopes, technical requirements, and request for proposal language for geospatial or technology services.
  • Ability to take ownership of work, complete tasks accurately and on time, and exercise independent technical judgment within established standards and governance frameworks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to translate between technical and operational needs across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience providing technical guidance or quality review to junior staff or non-technical contributors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to critically evaluate problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple concurrent initiatives in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities and shifting deadlines across multiple concurrent geospatial initiatives of moderate-to-high complexity while maintaining data quality and accountability.
  • A bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
  • Administer the ArcGIS Portal environment, including content organization and user management, within enterprise standards and direction established by the Staff GIS Technical Specialist.
  • Enforce and maintain the enterprise data governance framework, including attribute rules, Data Reviewer workflows, template-driven editing, and quality assurance and quality control tooling.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated data workflows using FME, ArcPy, ModelBuilder, and related tools for ETL processing and data validation.
  • Support the enterprise GIS system integration framework across Microsoft 365, Airtable, and Autodesk Construction Cloud by configuring and troubleshooting integrations.
  • Lead asset data reconciliation efforts across authoritative and legacy data sources within assigned project areas and data domains.
  • Apply utilities GIS expertise to support underground and above-ground utility data initiatives, including Esri Utility Network concepts.
  • Build and maintain geospatial products such as dashboards and self-service applications that enable staff to contribute to authoritative datasets.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality review of GIS data contributions from junior GIS staff, non-GIS subject-matter experts, and third-party vendors.
  • Author project scopes, technical requirements, and request for proposal scope language for assigned geospatial initiatives, coordinating with the Staff GIS Technical Specialist on larger or cross-platform efforts.
  • Coordinate with subject-matter experts, business units, and vendors on data collection, cleanup, and delivery efforts, escalating cross-line-of-business or sensitive items as appropriate.
  • Support the development of presentations for operational updates.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry geospatial products, services, and best practices.
  • Mentor and support the technical growth of junior team members through day-to-day technical guidance, code and workflow review, and data quality oversight.

  • Experience supporting project-based geospatial services in engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or construction environments.
  • Experience with computer-aided design and building information modeling data standards and workflows.

  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows such as GitLab and GitHub and modern development environments.

Themed solar-powered trash cans have arrived in EPCOT's World Nature and Pandora: World of AVATAR in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Latest videos. Solar-Powered trash cans in EPCOT's World Nature. Five new solar-powered trash and recycling bins have arrived in EPCOT's World Nature. The paired units have white fronts, each decorated with gray EPCOT logos. Each receptacle has black "TRASH" and "RECYCLE" openings. The outside panel of each bin is bright neon green. The new cans match the solar-powered design Disney has been installing across EPCOT since June. Our latest noted update was around the Test Track area last week. WDWNT first covered the debut of the solar-powered trash and recycling bins at EPCOT near World Showcase. EPCOT was the first of the Walt Disney World theme parks to receive these new receptacles. The rollout later reached more of World Showcase, including the Japan and Italy pavilions. Earlier this month, Disney also installed them in The Seas, The Land, and Soarin' areas of the park, along with World Celebration. Solar-Powered trash cans in Pandora: World of AVATAR. We spotted seven total new sets in Pandora: World of AVATAR in Disney's Animal Kingdom. The trash cans are gray, decorated with an orange stripe beneath the black receptacle "TRASH" and "RECYCLE" openings. The new cans match the solar-powered design Disney has been installing across Animal Kingdom since July. Our latest noted update was in the Asia area of the park and the Discovery Island Trails in August. Others were previously installed at the Maharajah Jungle Trek and at the front of the park. The solar panels on these new cans power a built-in trash compactor. Guests can open the lids by hand or by foot pedal. This has proven so confusing for some guests that Disney has released an instructional video to guide use. Solar panels built into the rounded tops power compactors inside, allowing the bins to hold more waste before they need to be emptied. The small handles on the front are for Cast Members to access the interior. Walt Disney World has been steadily adding these new solar-powered trash cans to the resort since June. Walt Disney Imagineering is involved in the design process so that they will resemble the older-style cans.

France: M6 content coming to Disney+. September 3, 2026 By Nik Roseveare The Walt Disney Company France and Groupe M6 have strengthened their longstanding collaboration with a new content agreement to bring some of France's most popular content to Disney+ This agreement will enable Disney+ to enhance its offering with some of the most-wtached French programmes, while allowing Groupe M6 to extend the reach of its content, particularly among 15 to 34-year-olds (a highly engaged audience on Disney+). Per the deal, an initial four M6 programmes will join Disney+: Scènes de ménages and En Famille will land on September 25th, followed in early 2027 by The Power: Qui a le pouvoir? and Mariés au premier regard. In total, several hundred episodes will gradually become available on the platform, enabling Groupe M6's programmes to broaden their audience and reach new viewers beyond linear TV, while strengthening Disney+'s unifying French entertainment offering. Karl Holmes, General Manager, Disney+ EMEA, commented: "M6 has created shows that audiences in France really love, and we're excited to bring some of those favourites to Disney+. With their strong appeal among younger viewers, it's a natural fit and means even more local shows for our customers to enjoy. We're really pleased to take this next step with M6, and to keep working with broadcasters across Europe to bring their shows to new audiences." David Larramendy, Chairman of the Executive Board of Groupe M6, added: "We are delighted to extend our longstanding relationship with Disney through this innovative collaboration. It will enable some of our most iconic brands to reach new audiences and benefit from additional exposure among Disney+ subscribers. The announcement follows similar Disney+ deals across Europe with ITV (UK), Atresmedia (Spain), SIC (Portugal) and RAI (Italy).
