Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of experience in manufacturing, sewing, textiles, upholstery, or assembly is preferred.
  • Experience operating industrial sewing machines in a production environment is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with window coverings, Roman shades, soft shades, or curtain making is an advantage.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality products with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet production targets and quality standards reliably.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and excellence in work.
  • Ability to communicate and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use a calculator.
  • Willingness to work overtime or extended shifts when necessary.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds (22.7 kilograms).
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours per shift, with occasional sitting.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, crouch, bend, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for sewing and assembly tasks.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, textile materials, and variable temperatures.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
Responsibilities
  • Manually assemble Roman shade components using hand tools and production equipment.
  • Manufacture Roman shades by installing sewn fabric panels, lift mechanisms, headrails, cords, rings, and related accessories.
  • Operate production equipment such as automatic screwdrivers, riveters, and other assembly machines.
  • Read, interpret, and follow work orders, sewing patterns, measurements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Measure, cut, and verify fabric dimensions using rulers, measuring tapes, templates, and calipers.
  • Inspect sewn and assembled products to ensure stitch quality, alignment, strength, and overall appearance.
  • Identify fabric defects, sewing issues, component failures, and quality concerns, and report them to the lead or supervisor.
  • Accurately record and document production, waste, rework, and defects for each assigned job.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, including sewing equipment, according to 5S and plant standards.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training as required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management according to business needs.
