Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in cyber security, computer forensics, computer science, Information Security, Information Systems, Engineering, Sciences or a related field.
  • Some relevant experience in cyber security operations, incident response or threat investigation, with demonstrated experience leading complex investigations.
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols and traffic flows, operating systems, cloud and identity technologies, enterprise security architectures and defence-in-depth principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems, system administration, security controls, native utilities and investigative artefacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and correlate large volumes of security log data using security information and event management platforms such as CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, Splunk and Google SecOps, and draw accurate, evidence-based conclusions.
  • Experience using endpoint detection and response platforms such as CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or VMware Carbon Black to investigate malicious activity, analyse endpoint telemetry and support incident containment and remediation.
  • Experience using security analysis and investigation tools such as Wireshark, Snort, Splunk, Kali Linux, SIFT Workstation, REMnux and Volatility or comparable commercial and open-source technologies, including tools used for memory forensics and malware analysis.
  • Advanced understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation, with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems, working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, together with demonstrated organisational and planning abilities and the capacity to coordinate multiple complex investigations and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of internal audiences including senior executives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering complex cyber security projects and cross-functional workstreams, achieving both short-term objectives and longer-term operational improvements.
  • Practical experience using the Linux command line to support security investigations, data analysis and the operation of cyber security tools.
Responsibilities
  • Correlate and analyse security telemetry from endpoint, identity, network, cloud, email and threat intelligence sources to identify, investigate and respond to malicious activity.
  • Apply knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques and procedures to reconstruct attack lifecycles, determine attack pathways, identify root cause and develop strategic detection and mitigation recommendations.
  • Lead the assessment of cyber security incidents, determining severity, business impact, threat scope, and appropriate response and escalation actions.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of networking, operating systems and security architectures to analyse technical evidence, identify attack vectors and guide effective containment, eradication and remediation actions.
  • Communicate complex technical findings, incident impacts, response decisions and remediation recommendations clearly to technical teams, business stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Threat Response processes, investigation methodologies, operational procedures, reporting standards, and playbooks to enhance the effectiveness and maturity of the cyber incident response capability.
  • Coordinate effectively across technical and business teams to coordinate cyber incident response activities, maintaining professionalism and sound judgement during high-pressure situations.
  • Lead complex cyber security projects and cross-functional workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of objectives and operational improvements.
  • Support the triage of cyber security tickets, providing technical guidance on priority, scope, investigation, escalation and appropriate response actions.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching and knowledge sharing to analysts and partner teams to strengthen investigation quality and Threat Response capability.
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation, including weekends, providing timely response, investigation, escalation, and coordination of cyber security incidents.
  • Maintain and continuously develop technical expertise in cyber security, threat response, and emerging attack techniques through ongoing training, research, and professional development.

Medicus Pharma secures Pfizer ADC deal with $2M funding, advances SkinJect for rare cancer treatment

Medicus Pharma has secured a development and licensing agreement with Pfizer for a CD228-targeted antibody-drug conjugate programme focused on solid tumours, including refractory melanoma. Pfizer is providing approximately $2 million in development funding, plus inventory and infrastructure support. CEO Dr Raza Bokhari said the deal allows Medicus to continue from where Pfizer concluded its Phase 1 dose-escalation work, strengthening the company's position in precision oncology. Medicus is also advancing its SkinJect programme for basal cell carcinoma. Final clinical trial results identified the 200-microgram patch as the optimal dose for future studies. The company is preparing for the FDA-approved pivotal SkinJect 005 study whilst recruiting patients. An independent reimbursement analysis suggests SkinJect could achieve reimbursement levels of $25,000 or more per patient.

AbbVie beats Pfizer as top dividend stock with 53-year payout streak and 203% growth

AbbVie offers a smarter long-term dividend investment than Pfizer, despite Pfizer's higher 6.1% yield. AbbVie holds Dividend King status with 53 consecutive years of dividend increases and raised its payout by 5.5% this year to $1.73 per share. Over the past decade, AbbVie increased its dividend by more than 203% compared to Pfizer's 51%. AbbVie's revenue grew 138% during this period, whilst Pfizer's rose just 18%. AbbVie successfully navigated Humira's patent cliff through home-grown immunology drugs Skyrizi and Rinvoq. By 2025, these two drugs generated combined annual sales exceeding $25 billion, replacing Humira's peak revenue and pushing total company revenue to record highs. AbbVie's free-cash-flow dividend payout ratio stands at 65%, lower than Pfizer's 89%.

Pfizer's updated COVID vaccine ships as FDA approves narrower rollout for over-65s and high-risk groups

Pfizer received FDA approval for its updated Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, with deliveries to pharmacies and clinics beginning immediately. The company's shares were trading at $27.9079 on 28 August. However, the market opportunity has significantly narrowed from pandemic levels. Eligibility is now limited to adults aged 65 and older, plus higher-risk patients aged 5 through 64. Despite Comirnaty having distributed over five billion doses worldwide historically, today's revenue potential is considerably more constrained. Pfizer faces competition from Moderna and the Novavax-Sanofi protein vaccine for this smaller patient pool. The company's current share price sits 5.27% above its estimated value of $26.51, suggesting investors are paying a premium before actual uptake and commercial results become clear.

FDA approves Pfizer-BioNTech XFG-adapted COVID-19 vaccine for high-risk groups

Pfizer and BioNTech have received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for their 2026-2027 COVID-19 vaccine targeting the XFG variant. The vaccine is approved for adults aged 65 and older, and individuals aged 5 to 64 with underlying conditions that increase risk of severe COVID-19 outcomes. The FDA approval is based on clinical, non-clinical and real-world data demonstrating the vaccine generates strong immune responses against currently circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants, including XFG and other contemporary lineages. The XFG variant was selected following FDA guidance for fall 2026 vaccine composition. The vaccine will begin shipping immediately and will be available in US pharmacies, hospitals and clinics within days. To date, more than five billion doses of COMIRNATY have been distributed globally.
