Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management, ideally within an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure, ERP systems, and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
  • Knowledge of Epicor CMS is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with industrial networks and cybersecurity is required.
  • Experience in leading IT projects, budgeting, and vendor management.
  • Strong leadership abilities to manage IT teams and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production, materials teams.
  • Effective communication skills are key for liaising between departments and aligning technology solutions with business goals.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and communication systems, ensuring their stability, security, and scalability.
  • Lead the deployment and integration of Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and robotics, into manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee data collection from production lines, equipment, and systems, ensuring proper storage, integrity, and accessibility of data.
  • Ensure the smooth operation and integration of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within the plant.
  • Work closely with plant engineers, production managers, and maintenance teams to ensure IT solutions meet operational requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external IT vendors, software providers, and equipment suppliers to ensure timely delivery of technology solutions and maintenance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop an IT team responsible for maintaining and upgrading plant IT systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate IT policies, data protection laws, and industry regulations (such as ISO, NIST, and GDPR).
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective deployment of technology and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in IT management, business administration (MBA), or a specialized certification in Industry 4.0 is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in handling Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, robotics, AI, and data analytics is highly valuable.
  • Certification in project management (such as PMP or PRINCE2) is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or certifications related to cloud computing, industrial automation, or cybersecurity are preferred.
