Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceuticals is required.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a pharmacy setting is required.
  • Evidence of a Dubai Health Authority license or eligibility letter is required.
  • Excellent command of Arabic and English is required.
  • Clinical pharmaceutical knowledge and experience providing direct patient care are required.
  • Current personal and company licenses must be maintained according to governmental requirements.
  • The Pharmacist must comply with United Arab Emirates rules, Dubai Health Authority and Ministry of Health regulations, applicable local and international laws, and company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in the community setting and Patient Support Programs.
  • Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
  • Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
  • Monitor drug therapies and advise on interventions.
  • Store medications correctly and maintain controlled-substance records.
  • Answer questions from healthcare professionals and counsel patients on drug therapies.
  • Organize and direct technicians’ workflow, verify medication preparation and labeling, and verify order entries, charges, and inspections.
  • Train pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and healthcare professionals in pharmacological knowledge.
  • Remove outdated and damaged drugs from pharmacy inventory and minimize expiry through effective stock purchasing.
  • Maintain correct brand categories, product layout, retail operational checklists, and pharmacy inventory replenishment.
  • Handle daily cash, credit, and insurance sales and reconciliations.
  • Follow purchasing, ordering, receiving, and transfer standard operating procedures.
  • Manage regulatory risk related to stock recording and United Arab Emirates labeling regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment and follow infection-control protocols.
  • Prepare monthly monitoring reports and quarterly quality-assurance reports, including patient numbers, logistics, and patient-file tracking.
  • Maintain and update electronic program files containing patient and quality-assurance data.
  • Conduct administrative duties for the office.
  • Work closely with pharmacy staff in the United Arab Emirates and other Axios team members.
  • Develop and maintain respectful, cooperative working relationships with patients, families, clients, and colleagues.
