An engineering degree and registration as a Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Ontario or another Canadian professional engineering association.
Knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards.
Proficiency with SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, and ASPEN electrical design tools and software.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Advanced computer skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of Electrical Engineers, Designers, and computer-aided design personnel in executing electrical engineering and design for mining and mineral processing projects within budget and on schedule.
Provide technical leadership and guidance for the electrical team.
Check vendor drawings and data for compliance with specifications.
Prepare detailed design, supply, construction, and installation specifications.
Develop conceptual designs, studies, reports, and proposals.
Ensure effective communication within project teams and with client engineers.
Track project metrics.
Report project issues to the Area Project Engineering Manager and functional issues to the overall Electrical Lead.
Visit project sites and other Hatch design offices for project-related activities as required.
