Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active, in-scope U.S. Government-issued Secret clearance or higher is required.
  • At least 11 years of experience supporting Department of Defense programs is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience implementing Information Assurance, Risk Management Framework, and Security Technical Implementation Guide requirements within network architecture and device configurations is required.
  • An active professional network engineering continuing education certification, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise, Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional, or SD-WAN certification, is required.
  • Strong experience with SATCOM, baseband, ground gateways, IP/MPLS, software-defined networking, 5G/6G, and Internet service provider interconnect technologies is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol, Open Shortest Path First, Multiprotocol Label Switching, Quality of Service, and network transport technologies is required.
  • Experience with network security, encryption/Commercial Solutions for Classified, monitoring, telemetry, and troubleshooting is required.
  • The ability to support 24/7 operations and travel worldwide, including to remote or austere locations, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Design, integrate, implement, configure, and troubleshoot mission-critical transport network infrastructure.
  • Support SATCOM, baseband, ground gateway, IP/MPLS, software-defined networking, 5G/6G, and Internet service provider interconnect environments.
  • Configure and optimize routing and transport technologies, including Border Gateway Protocol, Open Shortest Path First, Multiprotocol Label Switching, Quality of Service, and software-defined wide area networking.
  • Develop network configurations, diagrams, runbooks, and test procedures.
  • Support network monitoring, telemetry, automation, encryption/Commercial Solutions for Classified, and performance optimization.
  • Conduct site surveys, installations, cutovers, integration, testing, and field troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain Information Assurance, Risk Management Framework, and Security Technical Implementation Guide requirements within network architecture and device configurations.
  • Troubleshoot network incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and support 24/7 operations.
  • Coordinate with technical support officers, network operations centers, cybersecurity teams, engineering personnel, and program management to maintain reliable, mission-ready transport capabilities.

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems, Network Security, Web Security, or a related technical field.
