Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field preferred. Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Chemical.
  • Must have experience with PPAP.
  • Exposure to APQP preferred.
  • Knowledge of Layered Process Audits.
  • Must have previous working experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100D).
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and methods.
  • Proactive risk reduction through rigorous FMEA and Control Plan development.
  • Working knowledge of Gauge and fixture evaluation (MSA, Gage R&R, SPC).
Responsibilities
  • The Quality Engineer will be primarily responsible for driving continuous improvement through the elimination of defects that create waste in our process and may result in customer disruption and dissatisfaction.
  • Critical to success in this position is the ability to champion the team response to customer problems, including containment, customer interaction, root cause analysis, and the implementation of effective permanent corrective actions.
  • The QE perpetually seeks to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes through their participation and leadership in the following areas.
  • Responsible for Sub-Supplier development.
  • Responsible for customer audits/visits and third-party audits.
