Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 8 years related experience or Masters Degree in STEM and 6 years related experience.
  • A minimum 3 years in a formal management position leading a team of engineers (20+ personnel)
  • 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience as team lead
  • Demonstrated experience in Control Account Management (CAM)
  • Experience in milestone planning and execution to completion (e.g. Critical Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, etc.)
  • Experience as an Engineering Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution. Candidate will require ability to rapidly assess and lend guidance to projects assigned to the organizational group as well as demonstrated mentoring and guidance to engineers.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • providing execution leadership for the planning and performance of systems engineering activities at the AVE segment level of integration.
  • oversight and on-schedule development of systems engineering products as the primary backup to the AVE SE&I Director.
  • manage day to day operations of the AVE SE&I team which consists of the following suballocated organizations: Modeling Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) organization, Mechanical Design Integration (MDI), Electrical Design Integration (EDI), and Requirements/Verification, Interfaces and Architecture (RIA).
  • understand the detailed program roadmap to major program events and the responsibilities of the AVE SE&I team to meet event and contractual criteria.
