Requirements
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in ABA or special education setting
  • Strong communication, data collection, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse teams
Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom and student supports to students exhibiting behavioral, social-emotional, or communication challenges
  • Support individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs), reinforcement systems, and behavior supports as trained and guided by supervising BCBA
  • Assist with transitions, academic participation, and generalization of learned skills across school environments (e.g., classroom, cafeteria, playground)
  • Collaborate with general and special education teachers, aides, and related service staff to model and support the implementation of ABA strategies and classroom management tools
  • Offer feedback on student behavior trends and support school staff in adjusting strategies as needed
  • Collect ongoing ABC data, frequency counts, duration data, and other metrics aligned with IEP goals or BIP targets
  • Monitor and report on student progress regularly using approved systems and templates
  • Participate in team data review meetings with BCBAs and school partners
  • Based on data and observed patterns, provide recommendations for proactive strategies and environmental modifications, with BCBA oversight
  • Support in adjusting reinforcement systems, visual supports, and prompting strategies based on student needs
  • Contribute to the development of progress summaries and informal treatment updates
  • Maintain professional, timely communication with supervisors, educators, and school team members
  • Participate in scheduled meetings with the BCBA supervisor to review student progress and plan next steps
  • Communicate any changes in student behavior, risk concerns, or team needs promptly to the supervising BCBA
  • Uphold all school-site policies and maintain confidentiality of student and school information
  • Model professional behavior, reliability, and responsiveness at all times while on school grounds
  • Maintain accurate records of session notes, data logs, and any required documentation
