Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.), Master's degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Quality or Manufacturing role, preferably in automotive, aerospace or server industries
  • Strong knowledge and proficient in applying Automotive Quality Core Tools including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Strong technical writing ability and an ability to explain complex issues in a concise and plain manner
  • Excellent data analysis, statistics, documentation, project management skills
  • Tenacity in solving problems and has a “can do” attitude
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Experience with at least one of these areas: System, Mechanical, and Electronics Manufacturing such as system integration, sensors, mechanical assemblies, SMT and PCBAs
  • Experience in working with automotive Tier 1s or OEMs
  • Strong knowledge and experience with industry standards such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO26262
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders such as Design Engineering, Global Supply Managers, Internal Quality and Manufacturing / NPI to determine ideal performance specifications and supplier metrics
  • Partner closely with our automotive OEM partners to define appropriate supplier quality requirements that can be achieved within defined timeframes of product development
  • Ensure the defined supplier quality requirements can be met or implemented by our suppliers
  • Develop, manage, audit, improve and correct supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing and assembly techniques and quality control processes from development phases to mass production
  • Review supplier tool design, process flow, equipment selection, DFM, and DOE proposals
  • Perform supplier audits and site inspections to verify compliance with automotive quality management processes
  • Investigate supplier quality issues to determine root cause, validate supplier corrective actions and ensure proper and sustainable implementations
  • Identify and lead supplier quality improvement initiatives that benefit scalability, quality or cost
  • Identify and create/implement tools and systems integration solutions to improve qualification and APQP deliverable execution and performance tracking
