This Senior Product Marketing Manager is critical to Premium’s ambitious growth trajectory and will shape the future of LinkedIn Premium by evolving our product offering to serve new audiences. This leader will partner with many teams (Market Research, R&D, Product Design, Pricing, Data Science, Business Development, and PR teams) to build strategy & execute plans to evolve our offerings for the must-have professional subscription service.
This role requires someone who acts as a thought leader, can influence cross-functional partners, utilizes research to craft compelling narratives, defines differentiated value prop frameworks for product portfolio, has a track record of driving impact, and truly lives for big challenges.
This leader will inform & influence new product vision through customer research and marketing-led tactics and experiments, stay relevant to current landscape trends, and execute across full-funnel marketing and product channel strategy. This marketer will work closely with cross functional partners and ensure that member feedback and member insights are at the forefront of our work; bringing clarity and precision to the team, helping to identify the most important areas to focus on to meet our member’s needs. We’re looking for seasoned marketers with demonstrated experience influencing the product roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to grow the Premium business
- Drive member insight & empathy: conduct and analyze research to better understand the needs of our members, how they use our features, and how we can develop and shape our product experiences to better meet those needs
- Define positioning and messaging: building on your knowledge and understanding of our members, you’ll shape the product narrative and positioning across product and marketing channels
- Improve education and drive engagement of the existing product: dig into the landscape of how our members understand and use our current features and strategize around tests and tactics to increase engagement
- Take new products to market: you’ll drive end-to-end go-to-market campaigns for new products and features as they launch, owning the channel mix, creative elements, and performance
- Manage cross-functional projects: work closely with product managers, data scientists, and business operations managers, and keep stakeholders aware of timelines and deliverables
- Own and communicate performance expectations: Work with partner teams to determine and set performance expectations for marketing-led initiatives and communicate expectations to senior leaders and cross-functional partners
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
- 6+ years of experience in product management or consumer product marketing roles at a technology company, with a focus on market research and insights, product adoption and engagement, go-to-market strategy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on consumer subscription products & in launching a new product offering from zero-to-1
- Growth mindset, curious, self-aware, and passionate about continuous improvement
- Strong attention to and command of detail, and project management skills to focus on key outcomes amidst competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Excellent communications skills; able to distill complex concepts into clear and concise language for senior-level management and various stakeholders
- Proven experience leading fast paced teams amongst constantly evolving priorities; self-starter who can manage through ambiguous situations in a start-up type of team
- Highly motivated and creative team player who thrives in building collaborative partnerships with Research, Engineering, Product, PR, and Integrated Marketing teams
- Deep experience writing messaging and creating engaging content that romances product scenarios; passion for technology and the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, clear prose
- Curiosity, self-awareness, and a desire to test and learn, sing data as a success metric
- Outstanding leadership and deep and unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion; track record of partnering with a diverse set of team members along with the ability to mentor, develop, and grow the people on the team, helping them accomplish their career goals

This role can be based in any of our US offices (San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Carpinteria, Omaha, Chicago, Detroit, New York, or Washington D.C.) or remotely based on where the chosen applicant resides. Candidate must live within US.

The pay range for this role is $115,000 to $180,000]. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
