Business Analyst

Role :: Business Systems Analyst 
Location :: McLean, VA (Onsite)

Description: 

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Systems Analyst with strong SQL expertise and excellent communication skills. 
• The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to analyze and improve business processes, bridging the gap between IT and business stakeholders. 
• Experience with the Secondary Mortgage Market is a plus. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into functional specifications. 
• Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data to support business decision-making and process improvements. 
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, systems, and data flows.
• Work closely with IT teams to design, test, and implement system enhancements and new applications. Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding. 
• Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of system performance, identifying areas for improvement. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure efficient use of business systems. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role. 
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. 
• Experience in the Secondary Mortgage Market is a plus. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with mortgage industry processes and terminology. 
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques. Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
