The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Jira development, data migration, and bulk updates. You will play a key role in enhancing the Jira platform by developing new capabilities, migrating existing Jira tickets to a new structure, and executing data migration projects to optimize workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Development of New Capabilities: Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities within Jira to meet the evolving needs of the business and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
Jira Ticket Migration: Migrate current Jira tickets from the old structure to the new Jira structure, ensuring no data loss, preserving history, and maintaining consistency throughout the migration process.
Data Migration: Lead the planning and execution of data migration from legacy systems to Jira, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
Bulk Updates Capabilities: Develop and implement bulk update functionalities in Jira to allow for efficient updates of multiple tickets at once, improving productivity and reducing manual effort.
Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, business analysts, and technical leads to ensure that the new Jira capabilities align with business requirements.
Troubleshooting and Optimization: Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the development, migration, and updates, and proactively suggest performance optimizations.
Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of the development and migration processes, including code, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest Jira features and best practices, and continuously improve the system’s capabilities to support the needs of the automotive client.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Jira Developer or Jira Administrator, with a strong understanding of Jira workflows, customizations, and configurations.
Expertise in Jira data migration, including the migration of Jira issues, fields, workflows, and configurations.
Strong experience in developing Jira plugins and automating bulk updates.
Familiarity with Jira REST API and scripting tools like ScriptRunner or other similar tools for bulk updates and automation.
Experience working in Agile development environments, particularly within the automotive industry, is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Jira Service Management (JSM) and Jira Software (JSW).
Knowledge of SQL and database management for data migrations.
Experience with tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian products.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
