Requirements
  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on deep learning model development, with expertise in PyTorch, JAX or Tensorflow.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and AI algorithms.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead research projects, for example by publishing research at top conferences or serving as a staff+ engineer in top industry functions.
  • Previous experience applying AI to biomolecular data is a plus.
  • Experience managing technical teams or leading complex technical projects is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and evaluate novel AI models tailored for drug discovery applications, such as protein design and small molecule discovery.
  • Manage and lead large-scale machine learning research projects, ensuring they align with business goals.
  • Scale our models on massive datasets in a distributed fashion across many GPU nodes.
  • Develop innovative new techniques focused on large-scale models for biomolecular design.
  • Develop robust and scalable AI pipelines to process, analyze, and interpret large-scale biological and chemical datasets.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI research and bioengineering, communicate insights to the broader team, and incorporate relevant techniques into the company’s research agenda.
  • Work closely with software engineers to integrate AI models into production systems, platforms, and front-end applications.
  • Support customers on the deployment of our systems into real-world drug discovery workflows.
  • Participate in writing research papers, patent applications, and case studies.
