  • Bachelor's Degree with a strong academic record from an accredited undergraduate program, ideally with a focus in finance, business administration, or economics.
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience in a finance or a development role with specific focus on project financial modeling.
  • Fundamental knowledge of renewable energy, cleantech, power markets, or infrastructure finance with prior internship (or similar) experience in these fields.
  • Experience navigating discounted cash flow models is required.
  • A motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude for analytical and financial modeling with demonstrated attention to detail. Advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint are essential.

  • Robust organizational skills with a mindset towards pursuing simple and efficient solutions.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects/work streams, set priorities, and exercise judgment unsupervised.

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a finance or a development role with specific focus on project financial modeling (for Senior Analyst).
  • Strong familiarity of renewable energy (for Senior Analyst).
Responsibilities
  • Own the project financial model for development assets. Work with Capital Markets, Engineering, and Development teams to ensure conformance with underwriting guidelines, investment metrics and forecasted cash flows. Run sensitivity analyses and generate ideas to optimize valuation.
  • Support origination, structuring, and closing of high-quality, profitable utility-scale solar, wind and storage transactions as a key member of a business development team.
  • Coordinate with functional teams on due diligence and financial model inputs to qualify project investments prior to executing acquisition documents.
  • Prepare detailed memos and presentations for senior management and investment committee.
  • Support ongoing origination, development, and financing activities for projects: Support pricing analysis and bidding strategy to originate offtake contracts for Clearway Energy Group’s 25GW+ development portfolio of utility wind, solar, and storage projects.
  • Develop statistical analyses to quantify risk in highly structured transactions.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to work out impediments to negotiations and closings.
  • Work with functional groups, third-party consultants, and various other stakeholders to drive projects forward and perform quantitative analyses to support development and financing judgements.
  • Develop additional functionality for new and innovative financial structures (in Excel and VBA) and improve existing quantitative analyses and tools.
Desired Qualifications

Clearway Energy Agrees To Acquire 137 Mw Wind Project In Washington State

Princeton-based Clearway Energy on Tuesday said it entered into a binding agreement to acquire the operational Tuolumne Wind Project from Turlock Irrigation District.Tuolumne Wind Project is a 137 MW wind project located in Klickitat County, WA that achieved commercial operations in 2009. The project will sell power under a new PPA with Turlock Irrigation District, an investment-grade regulated entity, with an initial contract term of 15 years to 2040. In conjunction with the acquisition, the Company also has received from Turlock Irrigation District a contractual extension option to enable a potential future repowering of the project.After factoring in estimated closing adjustments and new non-recourse project-level debt, the company expects its total long-term corporate capital commitment to acquire the project to be approximately $70-75 million, which the company expects to fund with existing sources of liquidity. BThe acquisition is expected to provide incremental annual levered asset CAFD on a five-year average basis of approximately $9 million beginning January 1, 2026. The company expects the transaction to close in the first quarter of 2025, after which its targeted contribution to fiscal year 2025 results will be communicated
