Requirements
  • An active Top Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • At least six years of experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions is required.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex Local Area Networking (LAN) issues and resolving Wide Area Networking (WAN) problems, including support of cost-effective, high-performance IP and LAN/WAN solutions, is required.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco routing platforms, such as Aggregation Services Routers (ASRs), is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols and technologies, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN), and Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE), is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 technologies, including Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Multiple Spanning Tree (MST), and Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), is required.
  • Experience providing Tier 3 support and issue resolution is required.
  • Experience with network design and traffic engineering is required.
  • Experience providing senior-level engineering support is required.
  • Experience with TACLANE systems is required.
Responsibilities
  • Gather user network requirements using multiple methodologies and produce technical documentation, system requirements documents, systems security requirements documents, and system test plans.
  • Install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communications systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues involving various protocols, topologies, networking hardware, and related technologies.
  • Conduct network architecture design, feasibility studies, and cost studies.
  • Use knowledge of internetworking, computer systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and peripherals to understand current network designs and collaborate on developing new network designs.
  • Apply technical and business experience to improve processes and procedures for deploying and maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Work independently and collectively to improve network solutions and contribute to network service improvements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or higher.
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC).
  • Experience implementing and operating software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN).
  • Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community.
  • Ability to follow a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, ensure task and mission completion, and create and maintain necessary information.
  • Self-motivation, direction, and attention to detail.
