The Merchant & Logistics organization is the entry point for millions of merchants from all over the world who interact and sell through our platform. We deliver on many large scale initiatives which include integration, payment processing, logistics and fulfillment, and tracking to name a few. Whether it be delivering a platform to onboard new merchants in new geographies, improving our returns process, or scaling our logistics practice to process more than 3 million transactions per day, you will be able to impact the business on a global scale.

The Shipping and Inventory team deals with the complex and interesting challenges of managing Merchants’ product inventory and shipping prices in real-time.  As product availability and shipping is core to Wish’s business, our small team delivers outsize value to Wish as a whole.  We are a mission focused team that believes in delivering the best experience for our Merchants and our consumers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead project requirements through V1 launch and V2 iterations
• Lead Engineering focused efforts to improve our subsystem performance and maintainability
• Build complex software systems that integrate with multiple external systems
• Optimize for short term execution and plan for long term technical capabilities
• Build highly-available distributed systems
• Mentor/guide your peers

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, relentlessly focused on impact, and able to operate under a great deal of independence
• Versatile, willing and not afraid to work in domains that may not be core to our team
• Have demonstrated experience in delivering high impact projects
• Built something interesting, unique, or noteworthy and is proud of it
• Very strong computer science fundamentals
• 7+ years of overall experience, 3+ years of experience in similar role
• Ability to self-drive and clarify requirements and scope, owning the end to end delivery process
• Proficient in at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as Python, Java or Go
• Believes in the mantra “Try to leave the world a better place than you found it” as it applies to code
• You revel in building features quickly without compromising code quality

The base salary range for this position is $147,000- $210,000 annually. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, qualifications and other business considerations.
