Requirements
  • An advanced degree such as a Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or Doctor of Medicine is required.
  • At least two years of pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience is required, preferably including Medical Science Liaison experience with exposure to Cardiology, Radiology, or Nuclear Medicine.
  • Experience delivering professional presentations through lectures or evidence of teaching is required.
  • The role requires travel exceeding 70%, including some weekends.
  • The employee must live within the assigned territory, specifically North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky, or Tennessee, and be local to a major airport.
  • The employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
Responsibilities
  • Interact with Cardiology Key Opinion Leaders to communicate and advance the company's Cardiology medical plans and initiatives.
  • Communicate clinical and scientific insights and research concepts from Key Opinion Leaders to Medical Affairs team members through bidirectional scientific exchange.
  • Participate in regional and national Cardiology conferences, including conference planning, scientific session coverage, and development of post-conference scientific summaries.
  • Support unsolicited investigator-sponsored research proposals and company-sponsored research under the oversight of the Cardiology Medical Director or Care Area Lead.
  • Participate in identifying and training members of the company's speakers bureau when applicable.
  • Comply with applicable standard operating procedures, laws, and regulations, and identify and report quality or compliance concerns.
  • Prepare and deliver training materials for new and existing medical staff on diagnostic imaging agents used in Cardiology and emerging clinical evidence.
  • Provide medical expertise and support to United States and Canada Medical Affairs initiatives and cross-functional projects, including advisory boards, educational activities, and clinical study support.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience in a Medical Affairs or Medical Science Liaison role.
  • Nuclear Cardiology experience.
  • Residence near a major metropolitan area with convenient airport access.
  • Ideal locations include Kansas City, Louisville, or Nashville.

GE HealthCare secures CE mark for Photonova Spectra photon-counting CT system

GE HealthCare has received CE mark approval for its Photonova Spectra photon-counting computed tomography system, enabling commercial sales in markets recognising CE marking. The clearance follows US Food and Drug Administration approval and Japanese regulatory clearance in March 2026. The system uses GE HealthCare's Deep Silicon detector technology to deliver ultra-high definition spectral and spatial imaging. It processes data volumes up to 50 times greater than conventional CT systems, utilising Nvidia's accelerated computing platform. Clinical collaborations are underway at UZ Brussel in Belgium and Rigshospitalet in Denmark to evaluate the system across cardiology, neurology, oncology and musculoskeletal imaging. The CE mark follows more than $5 billion in innovation investment by GE HealthCare.

GE HealthCare launches three new Vivid cardiovascular ultrasound systems for diverse care settings

GE HealthCare has introduced three new cardiovascular ultrasound systems to its Vivid portfolio: Vivid Explorer 1, Vivid Advanced 1, and Vivid Focus 1. The systems were unveiled at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany. Each system targets different clinical settings whilst sharing a common technology foundation with the ultra-premium Vivid Pioneer. Vivid Explorer is designed for high-volume echo labs, Vivid Advanced for mid-size hospitals and cardiology practices, and Vivid Focus for everyday cardiac imaging. All three systems use cSound imaging technology and include AI-enabled automation tools to streamline echo workflows. GE HealthCare has launched Invenia ABUS Prime and ABUS StreamVue, expanding its breast imaging portfolio with solutions for supplemental screening in women with dense breasts.
