Responsibilities
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Facilitate communication between different trade and internal organizations
  • Become experts in how the EDM works and operates
  • Principles include electro chemistry as well as mechanical winding
  • Troubleshoot and solve process and equipment issues
  • Individuals will need to complete root cause analysis, and be able to articulate how we are solving problems
  • Understand the how and why a pc of equipment operates to conduct engineering trials, and train operations
  • Support manufacturing improvement projects
  • Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures
  • Develop equipment documentation for operation and maintenance
  • Equipment ownership
  • Fabricate and assemble new equipment from prototypes to production
  • Create recovery paths, and direct activities to recover from unplanned down time
  • Complete Job Hazard analysis
  • Strong proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, with knowledge to recommend alternative solutions
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a background in industrial equipment/processes
  • 3-5 years of hands-on engineering experience and detail-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Metal fabrication and machine shop experience preferred
  • Nonindustrial hobbies like automotive repair or wood working preferred
  • Good computer skills; MS Office, etc
  • Solid Modeling 3D CAD experience preferred
  • Welding experience preferred
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
  • The ability to work through problems autonomously
  • Focus on solving problems safely and efficiently
  • Willingness to learn new skills to move jobs forward
  • Ability to reason through a problem in multiple ways
  • Crane and forklift operation experience preferred
