- Candidates must have a technical background and hands-on experience understanding how and why to use the tools.
- Experience with Java 7 Enterprise, Spring, Spring MVC, middleware using SOAP or RESTful services, NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, relational databases such as Oracle, and financial systems or services is required.
- An Associate's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent military experience is required.
- Development experience with Java or Java Enterprise Edition, Ruby, and/or Unix shell scripting is required.
- Experience with web presentation methods including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
- Experience with enterprise-level relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL is required.
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework is required.
- Assist in developing, testing, implementing, and supporting application systems.
- Partner with development teams throughout the project life cycle, including writing and developing code within projects.
- Design and develop stable, scalable, and maintainable systems and solutions, including interfacing new systems with legacy systems and integrating new and existing systems with other business lines.
- Participate in the technical design, development, and implementation of application systems.
- Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs.
- Develop detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for simple programs.
- Prepare documentation of all procedures used in the system.
- Design and code programs, create test transactions, run tests, and revise programs as necessary.
- Review requirements, designs, and implementation plans and ensure that design and development align with standards.
- Provide oversight during implementations into production and monitor the operating efficiency of existing application systems.
- Troubleshoot and correct production issues in emergency situations when required.
- Mentor junior developers and coordinate the work of on-site coordinators supporting offshore development.
- Experience with Angular is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and participation in working sessions, including asking appropriate questions, are valued.
