Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two to three years of experience in an office or administrative setting are required.
  • Candidates should have presentation, public speaking, organizational, multitasking, prioritization, problem-solving, confidentiality, accuracy, written and oral communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Candidates must be able to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams and in a diverse environment.
  • Candidates must demonstrate customer service, issue management, critical thinking, decision-making, and personal accountability skills.
Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with the Provost Office to initiate academic promotions in Workday.
  • Work in partnership with the President's Office to prepare specialized employee agreements.
  • Oversee and lead the onboarding process for all new full-time employees.
  • Assist employees with general questions.
  • Prepare appointment forms for new and returning employees and for employees with job or compensation changes.
  • Oversee and assign academic appointments and track employee type and rank.
  • Manage and enter all employee transcripts.
  • Maintain records and filing systems using word-processing, database, and spreadsheet skills.
  • Gather necessary data for Berkshire to prepare the Affirmative Action Plan report and serve as the primary contact for questions regarding the plan.
  • Oversee the Affordable Care Act eligibility report.
  • Oversee Conflict of Interest and English Competency forms.
  • Provide input and feedback that enhances delivery of existing programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field, or four years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Workday.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience in a college or university setting.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources or related areas.
