  • Data-driven mindset with degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics

  • Own the consumer funnel forecast (activation, engagement, etc.); investigate and explain drivers of change and drive accountability on both new users and engagement of existing users linking the users with the financials
  • Develop a deep understanding of PayPal's overall business (e.g., products, geographies, business model, value prop)
  • Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision making
  • Discover new opportunities to grow and optimize the business through analytics, financial modeling, and business case development
  • Understand what matters most and prioritize ruthlessly
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and frequent context-switching in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal - whether in PowerPoint or an elevator pitch, you need to translate complex concepts into layman's terms and influence both peers and senior leadership
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer business Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses and communicate key findings to various stakeholders up-and-down the organization to facilitate data-driven decision-making
  • Support the development of strategic plans, annual financial budgets and monthly forecasts with data-driven insights
  • Consolidate and partner with finance leads to explain overall global performance, forecast and variances for presentation to leadership
  • Work closely with the global business unit to build business cases and financial models. Provide cross functional support to determine impact on the business unit's P&L
  • Discover and propose new opportunities to grow and optimize the business through analytics, financial modeling and business case development
  • Budget, forecast and monthly follow up from a management reporting perspective
  • PayPal is in a dynamic, rapidly changing industry. A proven track record at similarly fluid medium/large-size technology, e-commerce or financial institutions would be a plus
