Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in FPGA design and development (advanced experience is advantageous).
  • Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog, with knowledge of Xilinx Vivado.
  • Understanding of digital design principles including synthesis, timing analysis, and testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team to develop, implement, and verify FPGA logic, supporting Loft’s satellite systems and product roadmap.
  • Participate in the testing and validation of FPGA designs, ensuring reliability, performance, and adherence to mission requirements.
  • Support and improve Loft’s FPGA development processes, contributing to best practices for consistency and scalability.
  • Work with the engineering, software, and integration teams to ensure FPGA designs align with overall mission objectives.

They maintain an inventory of satellite buses and conduct quarterly launches, allowing them to deliver missions to space much faster than traditional methods.
