Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science (MS) in a related STEM discipline and 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.
  • Breathing Oxygen Systems design/architect/supplier experience.
Responsibilities
  • Act as Responsible Engineer (RE), responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining aircraft crew systems design configurations using current engineering practices and standards.
  • Support any stage of the aircraft crew systems life cycle activity such as developing primary designs, maturing designs into a system of systems, working as a SMT (Supplier Management Team), supporting fielding of the system, supporting airworthiness activity, and supporting testing of the systems.
  • Interface with other Engineering disciplines, Management teams, and Customer to ensure coordinated for compliant designs.
  • Evaluate and verify requirements to ensure airworthiness criteria are met.
  • Perform source selection for components.
  • Define design and test requirements that are flowed down to the suppliers through procurement documents.
  • Work with the supplier(s) to deliver products that meet the requirements and support the program schedule and cost targets.
  • Attend or present at internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
