Job Description
Our Detector Operations team produces both cooled and uncooled infrared detectors with a varied product mix ranging from low volume to one of the infrared world’s highest volume. In a dynamic environment, you will help transition products from development to production, maintain processes, and actively work on continuous improvement. This will involve deep dives into process and equipment capabilities, analyzing data, setting up infrastructure, running improvement projects, collaborating with many disciplines throughout the company, and working with operations to create training and educational development materials. You will make meaningful and visible contributions to our core technologies which are the basis for many of Teledyne FLIR’s global products. The position is very hands on and requires spending the majority of the time in the cleanroom, and becoming an expert on the fabrication of our devices.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Development to successfully transition processes and products into Low Rate Initial Production
- Improve process capability/defect reduction/throughput improvement using statistical process control, DOE techniques, data driven decision making and systematic problem solving skills
- Apply and lead/support yield improvement, defect reduction, failure and event analysis activities using tools including KT analysis, 8D, AAR, and others
- Lead capital equipment acquisition projects including tool specification, evaluation, characterization, process development, and qualification
- Implement and maintain good process control practices including SPC, Gauge R&R
- Document processes and equipment procedures
- Mentor, develop training, and audit engineering and production technicians
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science and/or Engineering
- 3+ years of related experience desired
- Strong computer skills required
- Proficiency in JMP, SQL, Python beneficial
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
Salary Range:
$112,200.00-$150,260.000
