Requirements
  • A strong Python engineer who has shipped production systems, not just prototypes.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Agno, or similar.
  • Fluency with large language models in production, including prompting, tool use, orchestration, and failure modes.
  • Experience building production retrieval-augmented generation systems, including retrieval architectures, vector databases, embedding strategies, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience with agent evaluation frameworks and observability tooling such as LangSmith or similar, including tracing agent behavior, debugging multi-agent interactions, and ensuring reliability in production.
  • Comfort with cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure, and distributed systems design.
  • Experience with machine learning operations practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement multi-agent architectures using Agno, LangChain, and LangGraph.
  • Build and maintain scalable backend services and application programming interfaces in Python and FastAPI.

  • Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation pipelines over domain-specific data with strict requirements for accuracy, traceability, and compliance.
  • Make production-grade decisions on large language model integration, prompting strategies, and reliability patterns.
  • Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, and deployment of agentic systems.
  • Drive end-to-end feature ownership from design through production.
  • Mentor engineers and actively shape the engineering culture as the team grows.
  • Collaborate closely with product and leadership to influence the technical roadmap.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in life sciences, regulated industries, or GxP-compliant environments.
  • Experience with multi-agent systems and workflow orchestration.

What believers are saying

  • The May 2026 funding supports hiring and product expansion across Europe and the United States.
  • Regulated-industry demand strengthens Visium's positioning in life sciences and specialty chemicals.
  • Partnership momentum, including Paradigmadigital, extends Visium beyond Switzerland into larger European accounts.

What critics are saying

  • Consulting revenue depends heavily on Roche, Novartis, and pharma buyers spending budgets in 2026.
  • ISO/IEC 27001 remains planned for 2026, slowing sales into regulated procurement cycles.
  • Generative-AI competition from Deloitte, IBM Consulting, and Cognizant compresses pricing within 12 months.

What makes Visium unique

  • Lausanne-based Visium closed its first institutional round with Columbus Venture Partners and Concentric in May 2026.
  • Visium built 250-plus AI solutions across Roche, Novartis, and dsm-firmenich by 2026.
