Requirements
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or the ability to learn them.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of sensitive and confidential information.
  • Commitment to communicating and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Basic understanding of the organization's products, services, and Thrivent Financial.
  • A candidate background verification and fingerprint submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation are required as part of the hiring and contracting process.
  • Access to Wealthscape requires compliance with the firm's Code of Ethics, including maintaining outside brokerage accounts at one of the firm's designated firms.
Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and respond to requests for information.
  • Perform routine administrative duties such as maintaining office supplies, entering data, and processing mail.
  • Prepare routine correspondence, reports, and special projects.
  • Support projects, administration of various programs, and processing functions as needed.
  • Schedule client meetings on behalf of the practice's Financial Advisors to drive client-facing activity.
  • Update the contact management system with client contact and preference information.
  • Assist Financial Advisors with the preparation and follow-up of client meetings.
  • Provide backup support for tasks that do not require licensing or registration for other staff members as needed.
  • Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
  • Provide approximately 30 hours per week of administrative support to Michael Buric and The Genesis Financial Consultants, including answering phones, greeting clients, handling and distributing mail and practice email, ordering supplies, and using Thrivent Financial computer systems and programs to support client relations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous administrative or secretarial experience is desired.
  • Licensing is not required, but opportunities for licensing are available.
