Requirements
  • 5–8+ years of experience in product management, UX-focused product roles, or learning and education platforms, ideally within B2B software as a service, developer tools, or data and artificial intelligence products.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a product area end to end, including defining strategy and roadmaps, writing product requirements documents, collaborating with engineering and design, and shipping impactful user-facing features.
  • Experience building or working on learning systems, training platforms, or content and knowledge experiences, such as learning management systems, certification, education analytics, or in-product guidance.
  • Strong user experience instincts and a track record of collaborating closely with designers and researchers to create intuitive flows, information architectures, and content experiences.
  • Comfort working with data by defining metrics, instrumenting experiments, and using analytics to understand user behavior, learning outcomes, and skills gaps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts simply and advocate for learners across the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for artificial-intelligence-first learning systems on the Databricks platform, anchored on contextual in-the-flow-of-work enablement and a unified skills infrastructure.
  • Design experiences that surface targeted knowledge when users need it, triggered by real work context such as usage patterns, errors, and task types.
  • Translate learning and pedagogical goals into platform capabilities such as learner models, skills graphs, progress tracking, adaptive learning paths, assessments, and feedback loops.
  • Partner with user experience and content design to create intuitive, embedded guidance and learning patterns that function as part of the workflow rather than separate training destinations.
  • Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure learning and skills systems are reliable, secure, performant, and able to serve global enterprise customers at scale.
  • Define and evolve predictive signals and analytics that provide proactive visibility into emerging skills and capability gaps, enabling action before they affect business outcomes.
  • Build features and tooling that allow enablement teams to deliver personalization at scale using artificial intelligence and automation.
  • Provide employees and leaders with transparent views into skills, enablement activities, and progress toward role and organizational goals through dashboards, reports, and in-product insights.
  • Work with education, documentation, and curriculum teams to empower them with self-service configuration and experimentation tools for new learning experiences.
  • Engage directly with customers, partners, and internal field teams to understand learning needs across roles and translate them into clear product requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with artificial-intelligence-powered learning, adaptive systems, or products that incorporate large language models into user workflows.

Databricks provides a unified data and AI platform built around a lakehouse architecture that blends data lakes and data warehouses. It helps organizations ingest, store, manage, and analyze data from various sources, then apply analytics and machine learning at scale. The platform offers automated ETL, secure data sharing, and high-performance analytics, with built-in support for AI workloads and model deployment. Unlike traditional single-purpose data stores, Databricks combines data engineering, data science, and business analytics in one system, aiming to streamline data workflows and make insights readily actionable. Its goal is to enable businesses to manage data more efficiently, accelerate insight generation, and deploy AI and analytics across diverse teams through a subscription-based platform and professional services.

Pengana's AIX acquires 8% stake in $190B AI platform Databricks

ASX-listed AI Private Opportunities Trust has acquired a position in Databricks, allocating approximately 8% of its portfolio to the US data and AI company. San Francisco-based Databricks raised $5 billion in August 2024 at a $190 billion valuation. The platform serves over 70% of Fortune 500 companies and more than 20,000 organisations worldwide. Databricks crossed a $7 billion revenue run rate in its most recent quarter, growing over 80% year-on-year whilst maintaining positive free cash flow. This investment follows AIX's deployment of over one-third of its portfolio across positions including ByteDance, Helsing, and Handshake. The trust aims to provide Australian investors access to private AI market leaders typically limited to institutional investors. GCM Grosvenor manages the trust's investments and is in advanced discussions to close several additional positions.

Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partners amid 85% growth

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter. It now has more than 1,500 employees across Asia Pacific & Japan and plans to establish headquarters in Singapore. Databricks works with over 1,000 partners regionally and 8,000 globally through its Brickbuilder Partner Network. The company's AWS business has surpassed a $1 billion run rate. International Data Corporation forecasts Asia/Pacific AI spending will reach $175 billion by 2028.
