ADI designs, manufactures, and sells high-performance analog, mixed-signal, and DSP integrated circuits that sense, measure, interpret, connect, and power the physical world in electronic devices. Its products include data converters, amplifiers, and power-management ICs that OEMs embed to handle analog sensing and digital processing inside their products. ADI differentiates itself through a broad, industry-spanning portfolio and close collaboration with customers to solve complex engineering challenges, rather than focusing on a single product type. Its goal is to provide reliable signal-processing solutions that bridge the physical world and digital systems, helping customers create more capable electronic products.

What believers are saying

  • Q3 fiscal 2026 revenue hit $4.02 billion, ADI's first $4 billion quarter.
  • Management guides Q4 fiscal 2026 revenue to $4.3 billion and gross margin near 74%.
  • Data center and energy SAM doubled since last year, driven by AI power demand.

What critics are saying

  • June 23, 2026 unauthorized access exfiltrated files; breach notifications and lawsuits can follow.
  • Empower integration must deliver promised 10%-15% power savings before hyperscaler design windows close.
  • Industrial recovery still drives momentum; any inventory correction can hit 2027 revenue growth.

What makes Analog Devices unique

  • ADI's grid-to-core power stack spans generation, distribution, regulation, and processor-package delivery.
  • Empower Semiconductor, completed July 7, 2026, adds integrated voltage regulators and silicon capacitors.
  • ADI's mixed-signal portfolio still wins sockets across industrial, automotive, communications, and defense.

Analog Devices hits first $4B quarter as data centre SAM doubles, eyes 74% gross margin

Analog Devices reported its first $4 billion revenue quarter, with growth across all end markets led by data centre and industrial segments. The company attributes success to its "grid-to-chip" strategy, positioning itself as critical infrastructure for AI data centres by managing power from generation to processor core. Q4 revenue guidance stands at $4.3 billion, with data centre expected to grow approximately 10% sequentially. Gross margin is projected to reach 74% in Q4, driven by favourable product mix and higher fixed cost absorption. The company completed its $1.5 billion all-cash acquisition of Empower Semiconductor in July, which management claims can reduce compute power consumption by 10% to 15%. The serviceable addressable market for data centre and energy by 2030 has doubled compared to last year's projections. Net leverage ratio sits at 0.9 following recent acquisitions.

Analog Devices posts record $4B Q3 revenue, eyes data-centre growth through 2030

Analog Devices reported record fiscal third-quarter revenue of $4.02 billion, up 11% sequentially and 40% year over year. Adjusted earnings per share reached $3.45, rising 12% sequentially and 68% year over year. Growth was broad-based across industrial, automotive, communications and consumer markets. CEO Vincent Roche attributed the company's first $4 billion quarter to demand from AI infrastructure, defence spending and cyclical momentum. The company expects strong double-digit growth in data centre and energy markets through at least 2030, driven by power management and optical networking demand. Revenue from optical circuit switching is forecast to roughly double this year and again in 2027. For fiscal fourth quarter, Analog Devices forecast revenue of $4.3 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $3.86. Management called fiscal 2027 a "brisk growth year" whilst flagging macroeconomic and AI-spending risks.

Analog Devices hits $4B revenue with 40% growth in data centre and industrial sectors

Analog Devices reported record fiscal third quarter 2026 results with revenue of $4.02 billion, up 40% year-over-year, driven by growth in data centre and industrial sectors. The semiconductor company generated operating cash flow of $5.5 billion and free cash flow of $4.9 billion on a trailing twelve-month basis, representing 40% and 36% of revenue respectively. The company returned $1.7 billion to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases during the quarter. Adjusted diluted earnings per share reached $3.45, up 68% from the prior year. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, Analog Devices forecasts revenue of $4.3 billion, with adjusted earnings per share of $3.86. The board declared a quarterly dividend of $1.10 per share, payable 15 September 2026.

Analog Devices earnings projections rise on communications and industrial demand strength

Analog Devices faces a crucial test as analysts forecast quarterly earnings of $3.33 per share on revenues of $3.92 billion, representing significant year-over-year growth. The projections highlight expected strength in communications and industrial markets, which could reshape the company's business mix. These forecasts exceed Analog Devices' earlier Q3 2026 guidance of roughly $3.9 billion revenue and $2.60 reported earnings per share. The gap between guidance and Street expectations raises questions about whether communications and industrial demand can support the upside. Looking ahead, the most optimistic analysts project 2029 revenues near $21.9 billion and earnings of $8.5 billion. However, investors should consider cyclical risks in industrial and communications demand that could affect these projections. The company's narrative forecasts 14.7% yearly revenue growth through 2029.
