Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • A Professional Engineer license in Florida is required, or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
  • At least 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience is required.
  • Proven success managing and delivering transportation, municipal infrastructure, and/or land development projects is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience building, mentoring, and managing engineering teams is required.
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills are required.
  • Experience working with municipalities, Department of Transportation agencies, utility districts, developers, and private-sector clients is required.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a vision for expanding the firm's presence in the Tampa market.
  • Shape the strategic direction of transportation, municipal infrastructure, and land development services.
  • Build and strengthen long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and new opportunities.
  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, including transportation planning and traffic engineering, roadway and intelligent transportation systems projects, municipal water, wastewater, drainage, and public works infrastructure, and residential, mixed-use, and commercial land development projects.
  • Collaborate with municipal agencies, the Florida Department of Transportation, utility districts, developers, and private-sector clients.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, permitting, construction, and project closeout.
  • Build, mentor, and lead teams of Professional Engineers, Engineers-in-Training, computer-aided design designers, and technical staff.
  • Create a culture focused on collaboration, accountability, professional development, and excellence.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and career development opportunities for team members.
  • Pursue new client relationships and project opportunities.
  • Lead proposal development, presentations, interviews, and pursuit strategies.
  • Expand existing client relationships while identifying new markets and growth opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key clients.
  • Oversee project execution, quality, schedules, budgets, and profitability.
  • Manage project financial performance, staffing plans, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects while maintaining standards for quality and client service.
