Requirements
  • Five or more years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • Current Automotive Service Excellence certifications are preferred; Master and L1 certifications are a plus, or the candidate should have a plan to achieve them.
  • A North Carolina State Inspector License is preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
  • Strong experience with domestic and import vehicles.
  • Ability to flag 40–50 or more hours per week.
  • Knowledge of the vehicle reflashing and reprogramming process and all vehicle systems.
  • Diagnostic and service expertise in drivability, electrical, powertrain and drivetrain systems, and other mechanical systems for domestic and import vehicles.
  • A valid North Carolina driver's license.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds, work with tools on vehicles lifted overhead, work in tight repair spaces, use hand tools dexterously, stand and walk for most of the workday, drive manual-transmission vehicles, and navigate a computer efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and technical skills.
  • Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
  • Troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively as part of a team.
  • Follow and promote standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Work closely with the service department and communicate concerns effectively.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
Desired Qualifications
  • Diesel experience is helpful but not required.
  • Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
