Requirements
  • Experience in a multinational company preferable but not essential, ideally in a direct tax function, or from a tax or accounting advisory firm.
  • ACA, CTA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Some exposure to UK Employment Taxes would be beneficial.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Good organisational skills with ability to priorities tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication & relationship building skills.
  • Positive can do attitude and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
  • Review UK and International direct tax returns prepared by external advisors. Manage information flows between Finance and external advisors.
  • Working with external advisors on tax accounting provisions for financial statements. Liaison with UK and US external audit teams.
  • Calculating UK corporation tax quarterly payments on account. Monitoring UK group relief position. Ownership of UK tax account position.
  • Assisting with oversight of tax compliance obligations and filings of International entities.
  • Assisting Finance with the application of Transfer Pricing policies and calculations.
  • Assistance with CbCR filing and notification requirements and Pillar 2 requirements.
  • Input into UK Senior Accounting Process: collaboration with Finance and other stakeholders to design controls and processes to strengthen tax accounting arrangements, assistance in documentation and identification of improvements and efficiencies.
  • Assistance in monitoring Corporate Interest Restriction, UK anti-hybrid and CFC position of the UK group.
  • Input into PSA calculations and analysis and STBV arrangements.
  • Information collection in response to Tax audits and enquiries.
  • Preparation of management accounting tax provisions and liaison with Finance Teams in the US and Internationally regarding this.
